Kiwi Express Bakery & Cafe

This outlet of Kiwi Express Bakery & Cafe is located in Subang Business Center, USJ 10, Subang Jaya (near Shakey's Pizza). I've been here a couple of times before but never really had the chance to blog about it till now (sadly). However, this is one food stop you shouldn't miss when you are in Subang.

The place has a really nice ambiance to dine-in. The decor is relatively simple with it's quaint blackboards and potted plants. The dine-in area consists of a smoking and non-smoking section.

They serve a variety of western and local cuisine. I decided on the Mix Grill (RM23.90) and a basket of Garlic Bread (RM6) on the side.

The Mix Grill consists of 2 pieces of lamb, 1 piece of chicken and this gigantic prawn. This meal would probably be enough for 2 people (the portions are quite filling). The meat was good - not too tender, not too tough. Although the gravy could have used more salt (which I added later anyway). Also, the baked potato (hidden under the meat above) is really delicious - all soft and warm with mayo on top.

The Garlic Bread (RM6) is really, really worth your money. The garlic bread is baked for you on the spot so it's quite hot when served (crunchy on the sides and soft in the middle). Since the portions are quite big, the bread can also be shared between 2 people.

In the end, the bill was quite reasonable after adding my Iced Lemon Tea. By the way, they do not charge for Ice Water (as most places do)!
