Royal Wedding Monkeys

While the UK souvenir industry have their hands full pasting William and Kate on every piece of silverware, glass, marble, plastic and any other element known to mankind, Kipling's latest addition to their range of accessories include - Royal Wedding Monkeys!

From the One Utama, KL outlet

I think they're absolutely adorable and portable enough to carry around plus the fact that monkeys have never looked so cute before! Just a thought: Do you think the cuteness of the monkeys extends to the pic below? *winks*

X'Mas gift from Caramel Honey's sister-in-law
For whatever reason, watching a fairytale wedding is compensation to some of us who have a longing desire to have the wedding of their dreams. Then again, those who just got engaged may just want to check out the wedding dress design, in hope of replicating that for a cheaper rate.

Anyway, I'm sure thousands of girls are gonna flock home to catch the royal wedding (hope the rain comes before 5pm) tomorrow. I'm sure as hell gonna come in to work earlier so that I can leave early to watch the live coverage!

My Dreamcatchers!

Finally I can blog about the latest addition to my ever-growing accessories - dreamcatcher earrings! I've always, always been crazy about dreamcatchers. In fact, I've got a miniature one hanging in my car. As for earrings, I would have preferred a smaller one but there was only this pair which retails for about RM50 plus at Diva.

The feathers may give you the idea that it's light but when I wore it, it was quite heavy on the ears but I like how I can feel the feathers swishing against my face *swish*.

My Spanking New Denim Handbag!

I had a retail therapy urge yesterday and I ventured into Nichii at Tropicana Mall (coz it's crowd free). Spent RM260 and came out with a corporate friendly dress, off-shoulder top, studded black skirt and...a brand new denim handbag! Just like shoes, a girl can never get enough bags. This is proven in Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic where Becky is appalled at having ignored an entire retail sector (luggage bags). But anyway, check out below!

Isn't it simply chic? =)

It's not too spacious which works well for me because I HATE rummaging through every corner of my bag for my car keys, or phone or lip balm. My essentials like my camera, wallet, M.A.C compact, phone and keys fit in nicely without the bag bulging out hideously.

I especially love the studs on the front of the handbag. It's like a subtle hint of glam rock which works well on the denim bag.

Also, the strap (although quite long) is metal and denim twined. Me like :) :) :)

Like what my trustworthy friend xin says, you should ALWAYS reward yourself on an average of once a week (right xin?). Even if it's just 100grams of Famous Amos cookies or a RM79.90 denim handbag from Nichii.

And FYI: Nichii @ Tropicana Mall is absolutely HEAVEN to shop in. You've practically got the whole outlet to yourself and you can take in bundles of clothing into the dressing room without anyone stopping you. I must've tried on some 50 items and finally bought 3 so you can imagine the pile in the dressing room :)

Funky Shoebox from elo @ Subang Parade

I was on a mission last weekend, to find the perfect Gladiator flats. Unfortunately, having size 10 feet doesn't always work to my advantage. After scouring a whole bunch of shops (including Vincci, La Primavera and Pedal Works), I had just about given up hope. Until I passed by this tiny shop in Subang Parade and I swear, if you don't look closely enough you might just walk by the shop.

The shop's called elo and they're got a variety of shoes, handbags and accessories. I was not too hopeful but I still asked the shop assistant "What's your biggest shoe size?" and she replied - brace yourself - "Size 12".

It was like God became tired of my ranting for shoe size and answered my prayers. LOL!

Anyway, I purchased this champagne-gold sort-of Gladiator flats. The straps didn't really go all the way up like most Gladiator shoes but I figured it was the closest I would be able to find (for my size). So, after paying RM69.90 for one pair, I watched the shop assistant place the shoes in this really funky-looking shoebox.

And when I say funky, I really mean funky. The shoebox serves as a bag and it has a little window on the top to see your shoes inside. How cool is that?

To remove your shoes, you just have to pull out this drawer-like inner box and voila!

The next time I need shoes, I'm going to head to elo. Granted, they don't always have a large variety but their shoeboxes are just too cute to resist! :)

My New Handbag

This, ladies and gentlemen, is my all-new, glossy ultra-cool, handbag.

Yep, got this at the Curve flea market for just RM30 (after bargaining - was initially RM40) and the bag is really spacious - you can even slot in your umbrella (the small one, of course)!

Of course, it's no Guess or Gucci, but it still looks equally good. The stuff you can get at the Curve flea market is endless.

Now, all I need is a good dinner bag... ;-)

Accessory Gala

I was at Curve over the weekend and decided to stock up on accessories (earrings, bangles, chokers, u get the idea). So with RM60, I splurged on a whole load of stuff - and below is my collection (after combining with my existing accessories).

I have this briefcase-like case that's perfect for keeping makeup but I decided to use it for something else...

Yes, call me a pain but I love to be organized.

That was RM60 well spent. The Curve flea market is just so much fun to go to. You can always find something new there, something unexpected. I also bought a new handbag since I've had my good ole' dependable bag for like a century, but that would be kept for another post.

Hmm... now I need to look for clothes that would match my new accessories...
